DTS values contextualized, effective communication of biblical and theological truth by a variety of means for personal and corporate transformation.

1. A working outline for the Better Bible Reader bible study methods course. It will break down different sections within the course.
2. A more refined outline of the video sections of the Better Bible Reader bible study methods course. This gives the title of the video and the length of the video.
3. Two manuscripts from the Better Bible Reader course.
4. Feedback from my classmates and professor on my Capstone Preaching sermon.
Communication
Goal
Because I desire to be an effective and engaging communicator:

1.) I want to recognize and fine tune my communication style that will be used for this program.
Strategies
I will watch back any recorded lessons that I have done in the past and make notes of style and areas that could use work before attempting to record this program.
I will write out the manuscript for each section of the program to be reviewed by my mentor and field evaluators.

Re-read the materials from my preaching courses as well as go through the notes that I took for each class. Meet with the teachers in my church to discuss how they approach communicating.

I will have fine tuned my communication style and will have made it unique to myself and the type of material that I will be presenting.​
Overall Reflection
For my competence in communication, I am submitting two outlines for the course, two manuscripts, and sermon feedback notes, which demonstrate that I have taken the time to develop this program and that I have taken into account the communication aspect of it. Adding sermon feedback notes, was my way of proving the effort I have given to shaping and fine-tuning my communication methods.
Learning Reflection
As I developed and demonstrated communication, I learned that people respond better to conversational style speaking. What I mean by that is people are more open to listening to someone when they sound like themselves. Honest and authentic communication. I want to be sure that when I am speaking and teaching that it comes across like I am just having a conversation with you.
Lifelong Development
As a result of the experiences documented by these artifacts, I will continue to develop in communication by receiving feedback from times when I get to speak or teach. I think it will be beneficial that when the videos of the course are made, they should get viewed by a group first and then refilmed with any adjustments.
